id 20-07 Nissan R35 GTR

Nissan GTR R35 - id
Wrong time for this release I believe, that is all. There is a 35th anniversary R35 in the mainline with a beautiful paint job, there is also a super treasure hunt version that is already fetching a heavy premium price tag if you can find someone that is willing to sell one. The id release is ok but not very good in the light of some of the noted releases including Guaczilla last year.

The id version is the same tooling as the main line Hot Wheels GTR R35 casting. I did notice that there is no interior floor pan so you can see all the way through the car from the bottom or top – curious why that happened. Overall, the spectraflame white is ok but not a fan favorite as it seems to resemble a mainline pearl white color. The headlights, grill, taillights are decaled and done really well.

The icons bodylines are very clearly cast but something just seems to be off especially at the nose. The black wheels with red accents look very good as a contrast to the rest of the deco.

This car is great in the app. It is very fast and easy to navigate with. This casting is also fast on the orange track so more testing will be needed once I get a portal.

Thank you,
Collector Quentin

I own the actual diecast pictured in this post. However, all packaging artwork, Mattel or Hot Wheels logos, paint descriptions and wheel descriptions in regard to the Hot Wheels versions are copyrights of the Mattel toy company.
